A brief introduction to something I like to call.. “Sebastopher”!
Hello! As you most likely know, I play in many different bands and acts, with many different people, playing all kinds of music. You may have heard of some of these bands. Or you may be completely unaware of their existence.. either way, today I’m writing to tell you about my main focus. Sebastopher.
Chris Sharp + Sebastian John = Sebastopher.
Sebastopher started playing two years ago. We decided to take well loved pop songs and put our own twist on them – songs such as It’s Not Fair by Lily Allen, Last Request by Paulo Nutini, Propane Nightmares by Pendulum and even Mysterious Girl by Peter Andre! We pushed ourselves further than we ever had before, throwing in daring harmonies, strange arrangements, ridiculously long medleys and other musical nonsense. And wherever we played, be it busking on the streets or Yorkshires finest Wine Bars, we always received great feedback.
But two years down the line, the time came to mix things up a bit and push ourselves once again. With me and Chris both being keen songwriters, we thought what Sebastopher was missing was their own material.
So with one guitar. One piano. Two voices. A single Harry Potter reference. And several hours later…. we had ourselves two songs. Both recorded and ready to heard.
I’ve added one of them to the music page and I’ll add the other one over the weekend.
We’d love to hear your thoughts so go have a listen and be sure to let us know what you think!
Hope you enjoy, we certainly enjoyed making it.
Thankyou, Sebastian John (Sebastopher One).
